Step by step instructions to adding your property to the Interprop site

1)  Adding your First Property

You may like to print this page off to have to hand to help guide you through the "Add/Edit your property" process.  We have tried to make these instructions as "user-friendly" as we can, so we really hope they help!

1)  Adding Your First Property

From the Home page, EITHER
  • Click on the "Members' Login" link (fifth box down on home page, right hand side) - this will take you straight to the "Interprop Property Manager" screen where you can begin the process of adding your property.

  • Click on the "Interprop User Guide" link on the left hand navigation bar then
  • Click on the "Add/Edit your property" link which then appears on the navigation bar - this will take you to the "Interprop Property Manager" screen where you can begin the process of adding your property.

 

You should now be at the "Interprop Property Manager" screen

  • If this is your FIRST visit to Interprop's Property Manager, you need to log in to add your property. Enter a "User Name", a "Password" and your "Email address" in the boxes provided under the heading "Are you a New User adding your first property?". Your User Name and Password can be anything you like, but should be unique to you, and easy for you to remember. These three boxes must be filled in completely, otherwise you will not be able to proceed. Click the "Go" button once you have filled them in.
  • The NEXT time you visit Interprop to either add another property or edit an existing one, you need only enter your User Name and Password in the boxes under the "Existing Users, Log In Here" section and click the "Go" button to take you on to the next stage.
  • If you ever forget your User Name or Password, we can remind you of them. All you need to do is enter your email address in the "Forgotten your User Name or Password?" section, click the "Go" button and, if we know you, a reminder will be emailed to you immediately
You will now find yourself at a page headed "Please enter your address details using the form below".

  • Now you need to enter in all the details that you are asked for - taking particular care to ensure that the ones with a red asterisk (*) next to them are filled in. Important - we do not allow you to change these details once you have entered them. This is a fraud prevention measure. Please make sure that you enter your details correctly. If you need any changes made in the future, please email Interprop from the "Contact us" page. When you are certain that the details are correct, click the blue "Next" button at the bottom of the form.
After clicking the "Next" button, you will find yourself at the "Interprop Property Manager: Property Listing" screen and, under the words "Property Listing" it will tell you that "you currently have no properties listed".

To add the details of your first property, click the blue "Add New" button at the bottom of this page.

 

You should now be at the Interprop Property Manager "Add New Property (form 1 of 4): Basic Details" page.

  • Here you need to enter the "Basic Details" of your property which will appear on the Property Search Page - and please ensure that all boxes marked in red and with an asterisk (*) are completed so that you can continue on to the next stage.
  • The first box is a "Summary description of your property" and you may use up to ten words to describe it, i.e., 200 Year Old Rural Farmhouse in Andalucia, for example.  It is also a good idea to enter your own reference number for this property here as well, just for ease of reference when you receive an enquiry about it.
  • For "Property Type", please select the most appropriate property type from the drop down menu.
  • Similarly, for "Country where your property is located", please select the country from the drop down menu.
You are then invited to enter some "Contact Details".
  • These are optional and will only appear on your property detail page if you enter them - only enter them, therefore, if you are happy to have people contact you by telephone about your property, as well as by email.  We actually prefer you to leave this blank so that you will always have a written (email) record of all enquiries received, and you can monitor how well Interprop is working for you.
Click the blue "Next" button at the bottom of the form to continue.

 

You will now find yourself at the Interprop Property Manager "Add New Property (form 2 of 4): Accommodation" page.

  • As before, please ensure that all boxes with red headings and asterisks (*) are completed in full before you go onto the next stage.
  • You may choose a "Region where your property is located" from the drop down menu if there are some regions that have been previously added by other users. If your particular region is not shown in the drop down menu, please enter it in the "or type" box.
  • Sleeping Facilities - please choose your answers from the drop down menus. If you have cot facilities available, please check the box, and if you have any other sleeping facilities that are not covered in the drop down menus, please enter them in the "Other Sleeping Facilities (e.g., Sofa Bed)" box that is provided, separated by commas.
  • Bathroom Facilities - please choose your answers from the drop down menus
  • Living Accommodation - Please choose your answers from the drop down menus and, if you have "Other Living Accommodation (e.g., Office)" that are not covered by the drop down menus, please enter them in the box provided, separated by commas.
  • Miscellaneous Information - this information is optional (but very helpful for the visitor to the site when planning his trip), so please consider completing it. It can only enhance your property detail page.  Obviously, the Pets Allowed and Smoking Allowed fields are not necessary, however!
  • When you have completed this form, please check it over and click the blue "Next" button to continue.

You will now be at the Interprop Property Manager "Add New Property (form 3 of 4): Facilities" page.
  •  
  • Please tick all boxes which apply to your property, adding any that are not mentioned in the list in the "Other" boxes as you go along. Any information entered in the "Other" boxes should be separated by commas.
  • Additional Information - you now have up to 1,000 characters to describe your property in full, in your own choice of words. Try to keep it concise and interesting.
  • Click the blue "Next" button when you have finished.
Now you will be taken to the Interprop Property Manager "Add New Property (form 4 of 4): Rental Details" page.

  • FOR PROPERTY SALES - On this page you can enter the price of the property 
  • PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DATABASE IS USED FOR VARIOUS OTHER BUSINESSES AS WELL, SO PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY IN ORDER THAT THE CORRECT PRICE FOR YOUR PROPERTY IS ENTERED:
  • In the Booking Deposit Required field - please enter the price for the property
  • In the Other Rental Information field - please enter in here any other details you can, i.e., what may be included in the price, etc.
  • Then, please IGNORE all other fields and
  • Click the "Finish" button to continue - please ensure you click this button ONCE ONLY, and then wait for the next screen to appear.

or

  • FOR PROPERTY RENTALS - On this page you can enter the pricing schedule for the property - please complete as many fields as you can.
  • Click the "Finish" button to continue - please ensure you click this button ONCE ONLY, and then wait for the next screen to appear.

 

The next screen should be headed "Interprop Property Manager - Congratulations!"

  • This means that your property details have now been added to our database and will be available to visitors to our site within 24 hours.
  • Most importantly, it shows "YOUR PROPERTY REFERENCE NUMBER" which should be quoted to us in any correspondence and which can be used by you in other forms of advertising - See "Advertisers' guide" for more details on this.
  • On this page, you now need to select the advertising period required, by clicking on the blue "Buy" button next to the period and price of your choice. The payment(s) you select are added to your 'shopping basket'. When you have finished adding advertising payments for the property (or properties) you add to our database, you may use the checkout to make all the payments in one go.
Once you have clicked the "Buy" button on this page, you will be taken to the next screen from where you will be able to either:
  •  
  • add your photographs
  • add another property
  • go to checkout or
  • return to the Property Manager
  • We suggest that here you "go to checkout" to complete the payment procedure and then add your photographs at a later stage by logging into the "Add/Edit your property" section again with your User Name and Password, since it is probably unlikely that you have your pictures to hand at this stage.
  • If, however, you would like to advertise another property at this time, simply click on the "Add Another Property" link to be returned to the Property Manager forms, where you will be able to begin the process all over again.
When you click on the "Go to Checkout" link you will, first of all, be asked to confirm your name and address details. These will, for the most part, be the same as the details you entered on the first screen, but please change them if you need to.

After making sure that this form is correctly completed, please click the blue "Next" button at the bottom of the form.

 

Now you will be taken to a screen which will tell you your Order Number and your Order Total, and will enable you to make your payment by credit card, or by cheque - just follow the instructions.
  •  
  • "On-Line Card Clearance" - choose this option to enter your credit card details for on-line payment processing through our on-line secure payment gateway
  • "Send Payment Separately" - choose this option to print off your order and post us a cheque - full details will appear on the screen
  • Clicking on "On-Line Card Clearance" will take you to our secure server where you will need to enter all the details asked for about your credit card - you can pay in either US Dollars, Euros or GB Pounds Sterling.
  • When you have completed your credit card details, click on the "Make Payment" button, which will take you to a confirmation page giving you the details of your payment. We suggest that you print this page off for reference purposes.
  • Next, click on the "End Worldpay Session" button to ensure that you end the payment process, close the window which appears and then click the "Click here to continue" link at the bottom of the page.
  • This will return you to the "Advertisers' guide" page, and you can continue surfing to your heart's content
When all this has been done your property details will have been received by Interprop, together with your payment, and we can then go into our Administration site and activate it for you - normally within 24 hours. You will receive an email from us as soon as your property is activated.

 

To add your photographs at a later date, simply log into the Interprop Property Manager and enter your User name and Password. This will take you directly to your "Property Listing" page and you need click the "Click image to edit property details" link or actually click onto the image so that you can add them.

 

This will take you to a screen showing you all the data we currently hold for the selected property and you will be able to edit certain parts of the data by clicking the appropriate link at the bottom of the screen.

 

To add your photographs, click on the "Update Photos" link at the bottom of the page and this will take you to a further screen which describes in full how to get your photographs to us. If you have any problems at all at this stage, please email the photographs to us at info@interprop.com and we will upload them for you.

 

If you have now finished editing your property details and are happy with the changes you have made click on the "click here to return to the Property Manager" link at the bottom of the page.

 

This will return you to the Property Manager page, where you can edit your other properties (if necessary, and if you have more than one) in the same way.

 

When you have completely finished your session in the Property Manager, we ask you to click the blue "Log Off" button at the top right hand side of the screen to end your session completely.

 

2)  Editing Existing Listing or Adding Another Property

  • Go to: http://www.interprop.com
  • Click the "Add/Edit Property" button
  • Scroll down to the middle section of the next screen headed "Existing Users, Log In Here"
  • Enter your User Name and then Enter your Password (if you cannot remember what your user name and password are, please use the next section and enter your email address and a reminder will be emailed to you immediately)
  • Click the "Go" button
  • At the next screen, click the image of the property you would like to edit
  • When your details appear, scroll down to the bottom and click the appropriate link for whichever section you would like to edit, i.e., "Update Rentals", Update Facilites" and so on
  • Change the details in each section to your complete satisfaction, remembering to click the "Confirm Changes" button when you are happy with your changes
  • When you are completely finished, return to the original "Property Manager" screen by clicking the "Property Manger" link at the top left hand side of the screen and then log off.
  • Any changes you make will become "live" for the world to see within 12-24 hours, depending on the time differences between us and on how busy the site is.

3)  Purchasing Advertising for Existing Properties

  • Go to: http://www.interprop.com and click the 'Add/Edit Property' button.
  • Scroll down to the middle section of the next screen headed 'Existing Users, Log In Here' and enter your User Name and Password, Click the 'Go' button. (if you cannot remember what your user name and password are, please use the next section, enter your email address and a reminder will be emailed to you immediately)
  • At the next screen, click the image of the property you wish to purchase more advertising for.
  • When your details appear, scroll down to the bottom and click the Purchase Advertising' link
  • On the next page, choose the period of advertising you wish to buy. This will then be added to your 'shopping basket' and you will then need to 'check out' from your Property Manager page.
  • Do this by clicking the 'Property Manager' link at the top left hand side of the screen, then scrolling down to the bottom of the next screen and clicking the blue 'checkout now' button.
  • You will then be led through the procedure of paying for your advertising by credit card.
  • When you are completely finished, return to your 'Property Manager' screen and log off.
  • The new advertising period will automatically be activated when the current advertising period ends.
