Can I enter my own property details on line?
  • Yes.  Interprop and its systems are all about giving you the facility to enter your own property details on line
  • This ensures that you are able to word your advertisement so that it is to your complete satisfaction
  • By writing your own advertisement you are maximising your chances of securing a booking because you know your property better than anyone

Can I amend my own property details on line?
  • When you enter your details for the first time you will have chosen a user name and password to access your listings.  Simply use this to log on to Interprop if you need to make any changes
  • If anything about your property changes, i.e., the prices, for example, you can also do this on line, just by logging in again
  • Should you have updated photographs you would like to substitute of the same property, you may also do this yourself, on line

I have my own personal website - can I have a link to this on my further details page?
  • Many owners have their own website and have developed their own ways for promoting that site.  Interprop's purpose is to promote properties on an equal playing field, giving all advertisers an equal chance of getting an enquiry or a booking.
  • Imagine the reaction of the advertiser who, perhaps, hasn't got his own website, and his feelings when visitors to the site may be whisked off to another part of cyberspace because of external links for advertisers who do!
  • Even if you advertise your property on another site and they give you a link to your own website - we are sure they have their reasons.  BUT, they probably ONLY promote their own website and it is highly unlikely that they promote yours as well.  Remember, Interprop has created a level playing field which includes the fact that all further details pages are promoted individually to the major search engines and classifieds on a regular basis, further increasing your property's exposure and subsequent bookings.
  • When a visitor arrives at Interprop, their sole purpose is to find a property and they will do so by using the search and find facility.  If a property matches their criteria, it will be shown to the visitor and he will probably then make an enquiry.  This search and find facility negates the need for a link to the owner's website (if he has one), as the visitor has already made his choice.  Remember that the visitor will, if interested in your property, contact you for more details.  At this point you then have the opportunity to give him the address of your own website.
  • Think about it - Interprop has attracted interest to a particular property, has a record of that interest, facilitated a communication channel to be opened between the agent and the potential purchaser and now you, the advertiser, can further "impress" the visitor by giving him your own website address, although at this stage it could be agreed that the visitor is already very interested and just needs to confirm details.
  • Interprop has been designed to keep the potential renter at the site for as long as possible.  Research has shown that the longer a visitor stays at a site, the better chance there is that he will make a booking.
  • Interprop has been designed with fast loading pages - all pages on the Interprop site are fast loading - fact: if a page does not load quickly, the visitor will leave.
  • All pages are generic.  A visitor will make a decision about which property to enquire about as a result of its details as shown on Interprop, etc.

What is the Property Reference Number (PRN)?
  • Your property will be allocated a unique Property Reference Number (PRN).  This is an important number as it can be used by you to direct visitors straight to your page, bypassing all other searches
  • You can use it on all correspondence, so you can advertise your property in other publications and on business cards, etc., and could read, for example, "see us at www.interprop.com, reference number xxxx", where xxxx is your PRN.  Therefore, if your reference number is 1234, for example, your advertisement would read "see us at www.interprop.com, reference number 1234
  • You may also direct people straight to your page by quoting the internet address www.interprop.com/xxxx, where xxxx is your PRN
  • When potential customers see your advertisement containing your PRN and they arrive on the Interprop site, all they need to do to see your property's full details is to enter your PRN into the box at the top of the page where it says "Enter Property Reference Number (if known)", and they will be taken directly to your detailed property page, bypassing all other searches

How many photographs can I have?
  • You may have five photographs in total
  • One small photograph will serve as the "thumbnail" photograph which will be shown on the summary listing.  A visitor will click on the thumbnail to gain access to the full details of your property
  • You may use up to four additional full size photographs on your property detail page to show your property off to its full advantage

What sort of photographs should I supply?
  • Interprop recommends landscape format colour photographs, if possible.  This will give your property detail page a more uniform appearance
  • When choosing or taking photos, it is best to avoid excessive contrast and shadows caused by bright sunlight, especially when shooting interiors close to windows. Try to produce a balance of photos that show the best aspects of your property - external and internal shots - and try to incorporate local scenery and features. Avoid taking shots too far from the subject and exclude peripheral items which detract from your subject

What size should the photographs be?
  • If you are sending us your pictures by email or uploading them directly to the site yourself:
  • Your thumbnail picture should be 80(w) x 60(h) pixels in size, saved in JPEG (.jpg) format and be no more than 5Kb in size
  • Your full screen pictures should be 280(w) x 210(h) pixels in size, saved in JPEG (.jpg) format and be no more than 20Kb in size
  • If you are posting them to us, they should ideally be 4" x 6" so that we can resize them for you easily

How do I get the photographs to you?
  • There are three ways to get photographs of your property on the site:
  • You can post photographs to us for scanning, sizing and placement.  Send them to Interprop, 5 St Denys Road, Portswood, Southampton, England

Can I use photographs of my property from another site?
  • We would prefer that you supply us with new photographs, if possible
  • However, if you cannot do this, simply email us with details of where we can find your photographs and we can copy them from that site and upload them to the Interprop site
  • Remember, however, to get permission from the site owner before you allow us to do that - see our Terms and Conditions

  • On this page will be shown your contact details (if you have provided them) - your contact name(s) and telephone number(s)
  • There is also a simple form which, once filled in by the visitor, will be emailed directly to you with all their details and their requests for further information
  • Once you receive their telephone call or their email you will have direct contact with your customer and can deal with them personally
